|
Playwright and poet Alan Charles picks up from where he left in the first instalment as he once again tackles the thorny subject relationship. Using music, poetry, drama and comedy Da Mans Dem takes an informative and humorous look at men and relationships exploring those age old questions of what do men want? Why do men cheat? And what defines a man?Set in the hottest bar/live entertainment venue in London, the lives and experiences of friends and foes are unravelled to reveal that all is not as it may seem. His desire for carnal pleasure take him far beyond even he himself was willing to go. On the one hand there is Louise his high school sweetheart, whose heart he broke when he ran out on her without a word 9 years earlier. He wants her back and has been pursuing her for the last 3 years; however Louise is not too interested in going down that road again. On the other hand there is his friend and business partner Kylie who has desires to be with Alfred and so Alfred must come to the realisation that if you can have the one you love, then love the one who loves you. Love Sax and all that Jazz (Da Mans Dem) opens at the Broadway Theatre, London for a Valentine Special (Sat 11th & Sun 12th February 2012)
