In response, Bashir reiterated Sudan's support for Iran's nuclear programme "for peaceful purposes."
The Iranian leader headed a delegation of advisers and officials, including the
ministers of energy and higher education.
But there was no indication that any agreements were signed yesterday.
Iran and Sudan are both facing US sanctions because of their alleged sponsorship of terrorism.








Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, says western powers are plotting against muslim nations. According to the official Iranian news agency, he accused unnamed colonial powers and Israel of initiating separatist movements to split up Islamic states, including Sudan.
