Where am I? News Police Should Restructure Their Method of Arrest – Winston McKenzie
Police Should Restructure Their Method of Arrest – Winston McKenzie E-mail

Winston McKenzieAn independent mayoral candidate, Winston McKenzie has called on the police administration to restructure their method of arrest and training “as they have been involved in too many catastrophes in recent times”.

“The whole of the Police administration needs to turn around and look at itself, they need to restructure their method of arrest and training, and that is one department I would look at if I was to become the mayor of London,” McKenzie said.

McKenzie was speaking on Voice of Africa radio today in an interview about what he thought of the huge police numbers detailed at this year’s Notting Hill carnival.

Although he declined to talk about the numbers he said police presence was necessary to check would- be trouble makers who come to the grounds with the intent to make trouble without realising that “the whole of the black or African community is on file when carnivals come, adding “carnivals are not the place for trouble-makers to make their statement,” he said.

He called for more support for carnivals than it is at present “as carnivals are lacking in funding and desperately need help with financing and organizing,” he noted.

The mayoral candidate accused Mayor Boris Johnson for engaging with carnival organisers for “publicity purposes but his heart and soul are not really into the carnival, which I think is odd,” he stated.

McKenzie urged Prime Minister David Cameron to find sponsors for the event “PM should bring in sponsors, there are a lot of commercial sponsors out there from various commonwealth countries, and people situated in this country who want to contribute to carnivals” and added “but our present mayor does not have the communication skills to entertain these people and bring in commercial sponsors to make our carnival the best in the world” he said.

It doesn't make any difference what Winston McKenzie is suggesting that the police should be trained or be structed when it comes to them treating young African people unfairly, because Winston McKenzie should've ought to know that the police unremorsefully demonise as well as inexcausably victimises our people and our community too much, because there isn't a single-day that Africans are unfairly targeted especially by the police.

As for the so-called Notting Hill Carnival, that the facts are clearly well known, we might be shaking ourselves up and down, but we aren't getting the earnings, are we?
