Voice of Africa radio was set up due to the lack of access, social exclusion and marginalisation of the African community of any electronic media dedicated to the African community when on the 1st of January 2000 after many meetings, public gatherings and consultations.

Voice of Africa Radio was set up which covered London and its surrounding counties on FM. Our success and popularity went beyond description. Until June, 2003 when we decided to stop operations to seek for a legal licence to function properly.

We attracted a wide range of African businesses who advertised and sponsored most of our programmes listeners, both young and old, High commissioners and Heads of state due to our comprehensive news bulletin, intelligent-interviews and programmes we do.

In June 2002, Voice of Africa Radio was awarded a trophy presented by the Ghanaian High commissioner to UK – Mr. Isaac Osei for excellence and communal spirit at a colourful award ceremony held by the Ghana Union London.

This is a great site. Iam proud of it and hope many good reports will educate us and the rest of the European world.
Projecting positive images of African personality,Ancient and modern History, development, research and culture should be some of the important ingredients of this site. Contribution of Africans to the rest of the world in education, science, medicine, internet(www.emeagwali.com) and technology. More grease to your elbows guys.
