AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A WORK PERMIT? PDF Print E-mail

Question:
I am Gentleman, twenty years of age with no official qualifications. I came to the UK with a working holiday visa that expires in 3 months. However the
British employer that I have been working for is so impressed that he wants to arrange a work permit for me. Am I eligible for one?

Answer:
An application for a work permit requires you to have at least one of the following;

•A degree equivalent to a UK level University Degree
or
•A relevant UK level HND qualification plus one year
relevant work experience at NVQ Level 3 or above or,
•At least 3 years senior or specialized experience in
a specific field at a level equivalent to the UK NVQ
or SVQ Level 3 or above.

If you have none of the above or are unable to prove that you have at least one of the above, you will not be eligible for UK work permit.
